Halloween is set to scare a little earlier as the year’s scariest film comes to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 8th.
‘Hereditary’ has been described as the new generation’s ‘The Exorcist’ by Time Out and if that’s not enough to convince you that this film is worthy of watching over the spooky season, then we’re not sure what is?
Here’s a little more on the film…
When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter Annie (Toni Collette), her husband (Gabriel Byrne) and their two children begin to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry.
The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.
To celebrate the release of ‘Hereditary’ on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Limited Edition Steelbook on October 8th, we’re giving away two copies of the film on Blu-Ray (it’s up to you to provide the cushion to hide behind).
