USA vs. Trinidad and Tobago final score, recap: USWNT one victory ...

The U.S. women's national team is one win away from qualifying for the 2019 World Cup after securing Group A on Wednesday in the CONCACAF Women's Championship. The tournament, used as the qualifying path to next summer's tournament, sees the U.S. undefeated after three group stage games -- the last one a 7-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in Cary, N.C. The U.S. finished the group stage with 18 goals scored and zero conceded, blowing out all three opponents.

The U.S. scored three goals from outside the box in this one, defeating the visitors with little trouble, and the scoreline could have been worse. The U.S. hit the post and crossbar several times under the rain and had a few shots saved at point-blank range.

Rose Lavelle helped put the game well out of reach with two goals in two minutes to go up 3-0 in the first half after Alex Morgan's opener, and what a way to score her first. Check out this rocket goal that was all the insurance the team would need:

Then it was Crystal Dunn's turn after Lavelle's second. On the stroke of halftime, Dunn fired home this world-class strike to make it 4-0:

And Lindsey Horan got in on the action in the second half with this goal from range:

In all, five different players scored, with Tobin Heath also scoring. Morgan and Lavelle finished with two goals each.

The U.S. returns to action on Sunday against either Canada, Costa Rica, Jamaica or Cuba for a spot in the World Cup. If the U.S. were to lose, they would play in the third-place game, where a victory would be enough to qualify.
