The vehicle launch was held at the ‘Oman Oilfield Classic’ charity golf tournament, which was inaugurated by H E Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas. Adnan al Lawati, vice president for the Mukhaizna Operations of Occidental Oman, attended the event as part of the launch and charity fundraising for the association, stated a press release.
The vehicle will be used as part of the association’s awareness programme whereby representatives will travel across the country to provide awareness to local communities on minimising the chances of inheriting blood hereditary disorders, planning healthier marriages, pre-marital tests, as well as managing hereditary blood disorders.
The vehicle will be used to provide lectures and one-on-one conversations. Lawati said, “The launch of this vehicle is testament to Occidental Oman’s commitment to advocating health awareness in the local community, particularly with this important cause. We look forward to the knowledge that this vehicle will bring to far-reaching communities in Oman.”
