Boninsegna: "Conte Absolutely Right To Criticise Inter Management" - SempreInter

Former Inter striker Roberto Boninsegna has come to the defence of Inter manager Antonio Conte after he called out club management in his post-match interviews following Inter’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Conte hit out at the Nerazzurri leadership for their poor planning of the season and also hinted that promises were made to him that had not been kept with these promises presumably relating to the signings of certain players during the Summer transfer window.

“Conte is absolutely right, you cannot face such games without spare parts. I agree with him, the team is short,” Boninsegna, who spent seven years with Inter between 1969 and 1976, said in an interview with Italian news agency ADNKronos.

He added: “The only striker is Romelu Lukaku. What if he gets injured? Meanwhile, Juventus has three or four strikers to choose from. I think Conte is absolutely right to criticise the management.”
