It appears that Matrix star Keanu Reeves is officially off the market, with the 55-year-old walking the red carpet hand-in-hand with a woman on Saturday.

The notoriously private actor and his rumoured new girlfriend, artist Alexandra Grant, 46, made their couple debut at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles.

A smiley Keanu and his lady love Alexandra, who stunned in a navy blue embellished gown, looked affectionate and relaxed despite the flashing cameras, remaining close throughout the event.

The pair’s outing is one of the very few times in Keanu’s 35-year career that he’s brought a date to a public event.

Who is Alexandra Grant?

Alexandra Grant is an LA-based multi-media artist who dabbles in sculpture, painting, drawing, and video. Her work is on display in several galleries across LA, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

She is reportedly Keanu’s ‘business collaborator’ according to Daily Mail, and the pair reportedly co-own a publishing house called ‘X Artists’ Books’.

Their working relationship stretches back at least eight years and includes two books.

In 2011, Alexandra and the John Wick star collaborated on a picture book, Ode To Happiness, which marked Keanu’s first as a writer.

Five years later, the couple reunited for their second joint project, another book, Shadows.

Keanu and Alexandra’s relationship timeline

It’s not the first time Keanu and Alexandra have stepped out together, however, with the suspected couple pairing up back in 2016 for an Art Basel event in Switzerland.

They were also snapped together the following year in Paris while promoting their book, Ode to Happiness, and again earlier this year at an art benefit.

In mid-October, the pair looked cosy while grabbing some sushi in LA, with Alexandra at one point resting her head on Keanu’s shoulder.

Keanu’s rough road to romance

Keanu’s road to romance has thus far been a rocky one by all reports. In December 1999, his then-girlfriend, actress Jennifer Syme, gave birth to their daughter Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, who was sadly stillborn.

The pair broke up several weeks later and in 2001, Jennifer was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 28 after leaving a party hosted by singer Marilyn Manson.

In 2008 it’s thought that Keanu had a brief relationship with model/actress China Chow, and recently opened up about having feelings for his Speed co-star Sandra Bullock while the actors were shooting the film.
