Reece James has made Chelsea history following his goal which rescued a 4-4 draw against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Frank Lampard’s side were staring down the barrel of a heavy defeat as they found themselves 4-1 down to the Dutch champions after 55 minutes.
But two red cards for Ajax played a key role in Chelsea’s revival as Jorginho’s penalty was followed up by James’ goal in the 74th minute to salvage a point for the hosts at Stamford Bridge.
Cesar Azpilicueta appeared to have won the game for Chelsea but his effort from close range was ruled out by VAR.

James, meanwhile, has become Chelsea’s youngest ever scorer in the Champions League at 19 years 332 days old.
The Chelsea right-back overtakes Arjen Robben, who was the club’s youngest goalscorer in the Champions League when he netted against CSKA Moscow in November 2004.

‘They were hard to break down and we took adavantage of them going down to nine men, it was a shame we couldn’t win.
‘Scoring a goal is a bonus.
‘The manager told me to come on and liven the boys up, we had chances to win it but from where we were at half time it’s a good result.’
