With five goals to his name already in a Real Madrid shirt, the fee of 45 million euros that Los Blancos paid Santos for the teenager already looks like a bargain.

Rodrygo is fast becoming the major success story of the season at Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old scored one with his right foot, one with his left foot and one with his head to complete a perfect treble against Galatasaray.

His first two came within the first seven minutes, making it the quickest double by a Real Madrid player in Champions League history.

Not to mention the assist he provided for Karim Benzema's first as well.

While Rodrygo made the headlines, Fede Valverde was quietly making a huge impression in the centre of midfield.

He proved why he's moved past the likes of Luka Modric in the pecking order with a dominant display from start to finish.

After adopting a more advanced role to start with, he was just as accomplished in Casemiro's holding position once the Brazilian had gone off.

Benzema netted his first Champions League goals of the season.

He also scored his 50th goal for Real Madrid in the European Cup, overtaking Alfredo di Stefano in standings.

The only piece of bad news for Real Madrid came in the form of an injury to Marcelo.

The Brazilian was replaced during the first half after playing an important part in Los Blancos' early attacking play.

Zidane has his starting XI.

He named the same starting line-up for the third time in the last four games, with Valverde moving above Modric in midfield.

The Real Madrid boss may now be forced to change his team given the injury to Marcelo.
