Actress from ‘The Office’ visits Lancaster restaurant - pennlive.com

Actress Kate Flannery, best known as Meredith Palmer on “The Office” television show, made a surprise stop Tuesday at a Lancaster city restaurant.

According to LancasterOnline, Flannery had a meal around lunchtime at Commonwealth on Queen, a “farm-to-fork” cafe. She’s in the area as a guest performer at the American Music Theatre’s “Dancing with the Stars: Live!”

Restaurant owner Mark Reinmiller, who was not at the restaurant at the time of Flannery’s visit, told LancasterOnline the actress was friendly and talkative. He said most of his staff immediately recognized her.

In addition, Reinmiller said Flannery told Commonwealth kitchen manager Jeremy Pombo she enjoyed the meal and thanked him for getting the group’s meal orders right.

He said she also mentioned she grew up in Philadelphia and has family in the Lancaster-Lititz area.

Flannery competed in season 28 of “Dancing with the Stars."

The show at the American Music Theatre runs through Thursday and features a variety of dance styles and group numbers featured on the television show. The touring cast includes Brandon Armstrong, Lindsay Arnold, Alan Bersten, Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Gleb Savchenko and Emma Slater.
