‘Frozen 2’ actress Rachel Matthews tests positive for coronavirus - Deseret News

Rachel Matthews, the 26-year-old voice of Honeymaren in Disney’s “Frozen 2,” revealed in an Instagram story on Monday that she has been under quarantine for a week after testing positive for COVID-19, Fox News reports.

The actress said she is beginning to feel better and shared her story in a desire to help answer people’s questions.

“Let’s please be mindful of our decisions,” Matthews said in her post. “Now is the time to be smart and responsible. Let’s take care of one another.”

Matthews gave a detailed timeline of her symptoms over the past week and said that the only reason she was able to obtain a test was because she had been directly exposed to someone who had previously been confirmed positive, PennLive.com reported.

Matthews’ timeline

• Day 1: Sore throat, fatigue and headache.
• Day 2: A fever of 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit, body aches, shortness of breath and “major fatigue,” according to Fox News. Matthews also reported having “no appetite” and a “deep, dry cough.”
• Day 3: Although Matthews reported not having a fever and that she was only experiencing “minor” aches, her lungs got “much worse,” according to Fox News. She continued to feel tired and didn’t have an appetite.
• Day 4: Matthews shared that her lungs felt “heavy.” While her other symptoms improved, she could no longer smell or taste.
• Days 5, 6 and 7: Matthews reported still feeling her previous symptoms but said she began to “feel more like (her)self.”

The actress also expressed frustration with the lack of test availability. According to Fox News, she encouraged fans who couldn’t get their hands on a test to “just treat yourself as if you are positive.”
