Prince Harry is quitting the royal family to "make a living out of being a full time virtue signaller and attention seeker,” says the Institute of Public Affairs’ Gideon Rozner.
The pair have commenced their final royal appearances, this time at a music concert at the Royal Albert Hall, while on Monday, accompanied by a number of members of the royal family, the couple will again be out for the Commonwealth Day service.
The duke and duchess will officially step back as royals on 31 March.
Mr Rozner said the pair were “annoying, they are preachy, and they have absolutely no self-awareness” as they have had “more farewell tours than John Farnham”.
He told Sky News host Chris Smith the silver lining of their ‘virtue signalling’ is they will do “damage (to) the very causes they are trying to help” and will therefore be a “completely self-defeating exercise”.
“If I were the Queen I would say don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” he said.
