Viral video shows two kookaburra birds laughing to establish territory. Seen yet? - India Today

Have you ever wondered how birds laugh? A video shared by Indian Forest Services (IFS) Officer Susanta Nanda is trending on Twitter for the same reason.

Susanta shared the clip from his official handle today. In the viral video, two Kookaburra birds sitting on a railing can be seen laughing raucously. He shared the incredible clip with the caption, "This is how kookaburras laugh. The bird throws its head back in raucous laughter, mainly to establish territory."

Kookaburras, which are terrestrial tree kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea, can be seen throwing back their heads and laughing in the 15-second-long clip. According to the IFS officer, the birds laugh like this, by throwing back their heads, in order to establish territory.

Within minutes of being shared, the clip immediately garnered around 1.5k views. The clip left many entertained and amazed. Netizens took to the comments section to talk about what they thought of the clip. One user wrote, "Amazing! Never experienced such voice before!"
