The English Football League (EFL) is considering introducing a salary cap in the Championship for a 12-month period, report the Mirror. 

Following the coronavirus pandemic, a salary limit of £15-20 million is seen as a possible way to manage the financial impact on clubs in England's second tier. 

Any such restrictions, however, wouldn't be in place until at least 2021 to allow time for clubs to work out their finances and wage plans.
