WARREN — Artis Ray Battle, 65, died Friday, May 29, 2020, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the son of Charles W. and Mattie Mabel Hudson Battle.

He retired after three years as a machine operator at General Motors Lordstown and previously worked for Delphi Packard Electric for 23 years.

He was a member of Grace AME Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his mother of Warren; sons, Damon Kennard of Bel Air, Md. and Danyel K. Williamson of Warren; daughters, Melanise LaShanda Bennett of Warren and Migan Lemons III of Williamsburg, N.J.; brothers, George O. Bryant and Ronald Battle, both of Warren, and Charles E. Battle of Marietta, Ga. and half-brothers, Robert Bryant of Bronx, N.Y. and Brian Stephenson of Columbus; sister, Ruth Smith of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel, Warren, where funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday.
