Till now, everyone has heard of a normal waterfall that falls from a higher altitude to a low, flat surface. Now, 'reverse waterfall' is also a thing. Pretty sure, no one must have heard of a 'tricolour waterfall.' Well, that is also real.

A video has been doing the rounds on the internet where a bunch of people are in awe of the colours coming out of the fall. The colours happen to be that of our national flag, which is orange, white and green.

Coincidently, it went viral on our 74th Independence Day. A user named 'SamyakSpeaks' shared the video on Twitter.

Still don't believe it? Then, take a look for yourself. The tweet is captioned as "How beautifully they created tricolour in a waterfall!! Very creative!!"

It was so mesmerizing that even the well-known Bollywood paparazzi photographer Viral Bhayani shared on his Instagram as well. One might wonder how is this possible? Some hours back Canada's famed Niagara Falls lit up with the colours of the Indian flag.

However, in the above video, there is no light which is illuminating. According to Bhayani in his Instagram post, he had stated that a 'tricolour pump pipe' was used to colour the flow. That is very different from using coloured lights.

Seeing a tricolour waterfall is indeed interesting, especially the one which is not illuminated. Therefore, the very phenomenon left the netizens divided. Some were actually amazed by this and fervently said 'Jai Hind' under the Twitter post.

However, a lot of them were not sold by this method. For many, possibly releasing chemicals like that could damage the fall in the near future. "This is not at all patriotism. Polluting river is a crime," one user said. Another user echoed the same feelings by saying, "Could have put coloured lights. Would have made the same effect. Why ruin the water with chemicals?

According to them, damaging nature like that is 'not patriotism'. One of the users actually called it 'idiocracy'.What do you think? Was this the right way to symbolize our love for the country or there can be better ways?
