4.6 quake 87 km south of Gorontalo, Indonesia, 22 Nov 6.34 am (GMT +8)

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred only 8 minutes ago 87 km south of Gorontalo, Indonesia, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 12 km beneath the epicenter early morning on Sunday 22 November 2020 at 6.34 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Luwuk (pop. 47,800) located 86 km from the epicenter, and Gorontalo (pop. 144,200) 87 km away.
