Some years ago, Montblanc entered the personal audio space with the MB 01, a set of high-end wireless headphones with active noise cancellation.
Today, they are expanding on their personal audio offerings with the MTB 03, a set of high-end true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation.
As you'd expect, these earbuds are made with expensive materials. Both the housings of the earbuds and the charging case are made of aluminium; and are rendered in deep black, and feature the prominent white Montblanc emblem.
The earbuds feature 7mm Beryllium drivers and have an IPX4 water resistance rating.
Interestingly, Montblanc approached headphone guru Axel Grell to help tune the sound of the MTB 03 earbuds.
Audiophiles will definitely recognise the name. And if you don't, Grell used to work at Sennheiser and was the man behind seminal headphones like the HD 600 and HD 650, HD 800, and the cost-no-object Orpheus.
The MTB 03 features active noise cancellation and can last up to 6 hours on a single charge. The charging case provides another 12 hours of listening time.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.2, and supported codecs include SBC, AAC, and aptX Adaptive.
Availability and pricing
The Montblanc MTB 03 true wireless earbuds are priced at S$590 and are available now at Montblanc boutiques across Singapore.
