It seems like Robert Lewandowski can’t take a step without setting some sort of record this season.
He set a couple more on Tuesday, scoring four goals in the span of 14 minutes and 31 seconds to help Bayern Munich pound Red Star Belgrade 6-0 and become Bayern’s all-time leading Champions League scorer.
Elsewhere, Paulo Dybala’s ungodly free kick from near the touchline proved the difference as Juventus beat Atletico Madrid 1-0, while Manchester City coughed up a lead against Shakhtar Donestk and settled for a 1-1 draw.
Robert Lewandowski’s remarkable night
The Polish superstar’s streak of consecutive Bundesliga games with a goal to start the season was snapped on Saturday.
So he took it out on the Champions League.
With Bayern already up 1-0 in Belgrade, Lewandowski converted a penalty in the 53rd minute to double the lead.
He followed that up with a second at the hour mark, then headed home his third a few minute later (via Turner Sports):

He tacked on his fourth goal in the 67th minute. Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso bookeneded Lewandowski’s outburst with goals of their own, and Bayern clinched a Group B victory.
Lewandowski now has 46 goals in the Champions League, breaking Thomas Muller’s previous Bayern record of 43. His quadruple is also the fastest in a single game in Champions League history.
He’s amazing. And he’ll get another chance at winning his first European title in the knockout stage.
Paulo Dybala rocket lifts Juventus
Right before the stroke of halftime, Dybala ripped an audacious free kick from an absurd angle that found a sliver of space above the Atletico Madrid defenders and below the crossbar.
Unless you’re an Atleti supporter, you’re going to want to watch this one again and again:

At least one big-name celebrity was in the house to watch Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo, who wore a hairband for the match.
That celeb? Music megastar (and noted sports fan) Rihanna:

Juventus clinched Group D with the win, and Atleti has some work to do on the final matchday to secure advancement. Fortunately they face group minnows Lokomotiv Moscow at home.
Manchester City wins group with dull draw
City won’t complain too much. But Tuesday’s match against Shakhtar Donestk was more sputter than special.
After İlkay Gündoğan scored in the 56th minute, Manor Solomon stunned the Etihad with an equalizer in the 69th minute:

City still clinched Group C with the point and can now shift an eye toward the knockout stage. For all the club’s success domestically the past few seasons, it’s still yet to advance further than the semifinals in the Champions League.
Is this the squad to do it? A tame group draw didn’t tell us much. This winter’s developments will.

Manchester City 1-1 Shakhtar Donetsk
