Pedestrian dies when struck by SUV in Mobile - AL.com

A pedestrian died Friday after being struck by a vehicle in Mobile, according to Alabama state troopers.

Charles Spencer, 37, of Mobile died after being hit by at least one vehicle Thursday on Snow Road just north of Airport Boulevard. The incident occurred about 8:30 p.m.

Spencer was hit by a 2007 GMC Acadia and the driver stopped at the scene. The driver was not injured, troopers said.

Spencer was transported to University Hospital, where he died the next day, troopers said. The incident remains under investigation.
