Thunderstorm (yes, that’s his real name) started on Team Legend, but was stolen by Nick Jonas in the Knockouts round. The 24-year-old’s blind audition, in which he sang “Blackbird” by The Beatles, has over 6 million views on YouTube.

Thunderstorm’s Dad, Ron Artis, Was A Musician
Thunderstorm’s father was a Motown musician who performed the keyboards on Michael Jackson’s iconic track “Thriller” in 1982. According to Thunderstorm’s The Voice biography, his family would perform at his father’s art gallery growing up in Hawaii. Sadly, Thunderstorm’s dad passed away from a heart attack in 2010 when he was just 13-years-old. Thunderstorm started singing as a way to deal with his grief.
Thunderstorm Just Got Married To His Girlfriend
Congratulations are in order for Thunderstorm and his wife Faith McMaster! Faith is a singer and worship leader from Australia. Thunderstorm announced that they were engaged in February of this year.

Then on Good Friday, they decided to get married. They’re still planning to have a “huge celebration” in Australia later this year with friends and family. “I am super stoked to call this amazing Woman my Wife,” Thunderstorm wrote on Instagram alongside photos from their wedding.
He Has 10 Brothers And Sisters
Thunderstorm grew up in a family of 11 kids — six boys and five girls. They even performed together as the Artis Family Band. He and his brother, Ron Artis II, teamed up to tour as a duo when Thunderstorm was a teenager. Thunderstorm eventually decided to go solo. He Performed At Director Jon M. Chu’s Wedding
Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu asked Thunderstorm to perform at his wedding, and the story behind it is pretty amazing. Before Thunderstorm appeared on The Voice, Chu tweeted that he had seen him busking in Hawaii two years ago.
Chu and his family were amazed by Thunderstorm’s talent, and they watched him perform for an hour, eventually offering him the gig as a wedding singer. “Get ready for the changing winds,” Chu wrote of Thunderstorm’s future.
